Economic Development

Grow

Engage

A key component in the establishment and maintenance of

strong communities is economic stability. National economic

trends such as unstable employment, and the widening gap

between wealth and poverty are the catalysts for Economic

Development within Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Tucson Alumnae Chapter has a three-pronged approach to

addressing Economic Development

  • Supporting minority-owned businesses;
  • Delivering financial planning information through our youth programs with a workshop titled "Women Understanding Money"; and,
  • Partnering with Habitat for Humanity Tucson to build homes for families moving toward economic independence.

Tucson Alumnae Chapter’s Economic Development Committee provides information and facilitates discussions regarding relevant financial topics with its chapter members and the community through workshops and other events.
