As an organization of predominantly African American women, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is uniquely positioned to impact not only the well-being of its members but also the well-being of families and communities. Tucson Alumnae conducts training to properly deliver chest-compression-only cardio/pulmonary resuscitation in emergency medical situations.

The chapter, with Deltas of Southern Arizona, Inc. (DSA), a 501(c)3, is seeking funds to allow members to increase the number of training sessions delivered each year in minority and underserved communities. "Reducing CPR Disparities in the Minority/Underserved Communities of Tucson (RCDMCT)" is a joint program of Tucson Alumnae, DSA, and The University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center.
